Morning glory, tansy, and onion pigment.
This is a print of the Stout Mandrake. Drawing directly onto the lithography limestone is a quick process compared to grinding the stone. The drawing is chemically burned - etched - into the surface. Where oils are the image will burn and pick up the ink. The crackle in the darkest areas - achievable with the lithography crayons - describe the texture of grog in red clay. The blank background is free of markers of time or place.
Red clay, walnut wood.
